| Hidden Leaf Village
This is the famous Village Hidden in the Leaves. Orochimaru attacked the village during the Chunin Exams, but through the sacrifice of Hidden Leaf's Third Hokage, Orochimaru was repelled.

| Hidden Sand Village
This village went to war with the Hidden Sound Village against Hidden Leaf during the Chunin Exams, but after the war they found out Orochimaru had been posing as their Kazekage. They immediately surrendered, and made Gaara the new Kazekage.

| Hidden Mist Village
This village is known for their spectacularly brutal exam in order to become a Genin. According to Hidden Mist ninja, in order to pass the exam and become a Genin, the prospective students must kill off their own classmates. However, that all changed when one boy went on a rampage, killing over one hundred other students. His name was Momochi Zabuza, known as the Demon of the Mist. He was defeated and killed by Hatake Kakashi when he tried to kill a bridge builder escorted by Cell 7 of Konoha. It's said Zabuza, along with Hoshigake Kisame of the Akatsuki and Raiga Kurosuki are all members of a group named the Seven Swordsman of the Mist. The identities of the other four members are unknown.

| Hidden Sound Village
This is the village created by Orochimaru, one of the legendary Sannin, once he defected from the Hidden Leaf Village. His best men are all given a special curse mark that boosts their powers to remarkable levels. Eventually, Uchiha Sasuke defects from the Hidden Leaf Village and allies with Orochimaru.
